Au risque de l’identité… consiste à rencontrer une femme, observer son univers, l’y photographier, puis se substituer à elle en revêtant ses vêtements, en adoptant sa posture et ses gestes et enfin à se photographier. Dans ce jeu de substitution, je prends le risque de m’avancer aussi loin que possible dans l’identité de l’autre. A travers ce « glissement » qui pourrait paraître dangereux, je mets en jeu les deux identités… Si la ressemblance semble recherchée, notamment pendant la séance de prise de vue, c’est finalement la dissemblance qui est révélée.

Identity at stake…consists of meeting a woman, taking photographs of her in her own environment and then to photograph myself in her environment by adopting her gestures and her way of dressing herself. In this act of substitution, I take the risk to approach as close as possible the identity of the other. Through this smooth slipping, I bring the two identities at stake… If the resemblance seems to be sought during the photographic session, in the end the difference is revealed.
